WolframAlpha.com is a “computational knowledge engine” website that lets people find knowledge, instead of just links to information. What makes it different from Google is that it doesn’t search through the web for relevant links once you type a keyword or keywords. Instead, it searches through its own “internal” knowledge database, and presents the most sensible information to users.

It is powered by complex mathematical algorithm developed by a team led by Stephen Wolfram, a British award-winning physicist.

It is fun navigating the site and making some searches. I tried sing numerical and some mathematical equations and amazingly it returns fast with many presentations and options to choose.I tried my birthdays and it gives me the breakdown from chinese calendar,islamic calendar,events on that day and many more data.

It is unique from google since it "computes" idont know the term ^_^ and present data.
For me this is another new technology which is helpful especially to science people and students.Its a great discovery and fun way to gain imptortant knowledge.
